ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION

Last updated: 31 October 2026

ShopCommand accounts are set up by a workshop, on the ShopCommand website. The ShopCommand mobile app uses the same accounts, so there is no separate app account to delete. How you ask for a deletion depends on who you are.

Workshop staff

Ask your workshop owner to remove you. When the owner removes a staff member in ShopCommand, that person's login is deleted, and it can no longer be used on the website or in the app.

The jobs, notes and photos you worked on belong to the workshop and stay with its records. If you can't reach your workshop owner, email us at hello@shopcommand.com.au from the address you sign in with and we will help.

Workshop owners

To close your workshop's account and delete its data, email hello@shopcommand.com.au from the owner's email address. Tell us the workshop's name, and that you want the account closed and its data deleted. We will confirm with you before anything is deleted.

  • What is deleted: every login for the workshop, and the workshop's data in ShopCommand — customers, vehicles, jobs, invoices, bookings, messages, call records, photos and files.
  • When: we keep the account for 30 days after it is closed, so it can be restored if it was closed by mistake. After that it is deleted. Copies in our backups are overwritten as the backups roll over.
  • What we keep: our own records of your ShopCommand subscription (invoices, payments and the business details on them), for 5 years, because Australian tax law requires it. Payment providers such as Stripe keep their own payment records under their own legal obligations.
  • Your own records: your workshop's invoices and customer records are your business records, and you may need to keep them for tax purposes. Ask us for an export before you close the account. Invoices already sent to Xero stay in your Xero account.

Customers of a workshop

If a workshop that uses ShopCommand holds your details (for example your name, phone number, vehicle or service history), that workshop decides what it keeps. Please contact the workshop directly to ask for your details to be corrected or deleted. If you can't reach them, email hello@shopcommand.com.au and we will pass your request to the workshop.
